Chapter 7
We woke up this morning to 54 degree weather. We like to warm ourselves up with a little hot chocolate and a bit of dancing!
During dinner Rik agreed to trim the bottom of Robyne's pants, but to do so she had to stand on a chair. After the alteration was complete, Boris asked her if she could reach the ceiling. She could not. She was about 6 inches shy, so... Rik said, "Jump!" The kids were very into seeing their Aunt Robyne jump, she unfortunately had a bit of trouble gathering the nerve. Spike seeing the struggle on her face, got up from his meal, walks over to her and says, "Aunt Robyne, take my hands, I will help you jump." You can imagine my reaction (tears). She gladly accepted the offer, and jumped. There is no sweeter kid alive.
Here are the sneakers Sarah and Josh got Spike for his birthday. They are the create your own converse. He was very excited! They have on them skulls, bones, and his name 'Speed'. He wears them almost every day. Thank you Belchers! We love you and miss you!
